Charlotte Kaspar from France
A French woman named Charlotte Kaspar has opened a Japanese sweets shop in Strasbourg, a city in northeastern France. She came to Japan at the age of 20 and trained at Japanese sweets shops in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture. "I want to spread the word about real 'Wagashi.'" She is committed to traditional techniques and is working hard to popularize Japanese sweets in France, the home of Western sweets.
